What Is A Clinical Trial?
A clinical trial is another name for an interventional study, which is defined as a type of clinical study in which participants are assigned to groups that receive one or more intervention treatment (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes. These assignments are determined by the study’s protocol. Participants may receive diagnostic, therapeutic, or other types of interventions. There are five phases of clinical trials, Phase 0, Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IV. Care United Research primarily participates in clinical trials with the Phase II through Phase IV range.
Why Should I Participate
Per the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
website, people participate in clinical trials
for a variety of reasons. Healthy volunteers
say they participate to help others and to
contribute to moving science forward.
Participants with an illness or disease also
participate to help others, but also to
possiblv receive the newest treatment and to
have the additional care and attention from
the clinical trial staff. Clinical trials offer
hope for many people and an opportunity to
help researchers find better treatments for
others in the future
Who Can Participate?
Care United Research (CURe) is actively seeking Adult patients, ages 18 years or older. Please continue to check back for updates regarding our demographic age range.
